Oh, ZolaI don't know if anyone else on this forum celebrates Robert Burns birthday (the great Scottish poet) but we do, because Richard- (Zola's dad,) was born in Scotland. So we have to have the traditional haggis supper - followed in our case by Scottish ice-cream.We slice and bake the haggis, which is not the traditional way, but is much more edible (the proper way is to boil it, but it's horrible that way ! !)
Here is Zola helping with the preparations -

We did have a massive snow storm. Right now we have around 8" of snow or so. And it's still snowing. It has been all day and still is until around 9pm. Then it's supposed to snow on and off until 9amGood morning everyone!
I hope our friends over the pond are okay I hear they're going to have a massive winter storm!

Do you have the tatties and neeps with it?I don't know if anyone else on this forum celebrates Robert Burns birthday (the great Scottish poet) but we do, because Richard- (Zola's dad,) was born in Scotland. Be careful on the slippery stuff Cathie - you too Jeff!We got so much that it reminds me of the good old daysthat I pray away every year.
I guess I was praying for global warming though so... this year I'm praying the good Lord just keeps everyone safe
we probably will get at least 12" by the time it's over.
Well,we have the tatties, but cheat by having sweet potatoes instead of neeps - I'm sure the great man wouldn't mind !Do you have the tatties and neeps with it?
Belated Happy Robbie Burns night to you and Richard .
Why do your neighbours ask if you've had a bathI'm not sure how much snow Ray saw in Florida but I saw the panhandle did get snow!
In the flavor of the day i took my 4ft by 8ft spa sled to our hill. As i eyed the trees at the bottom, i wasn't too upset when the front end dug in and it wouldn't go down the hill! LOL At least I didn't bash my head against a tree so there's that.
Maybe I'll get the tobaggan down later today. Like MS Cathie, we are supposed to remain very cold all week.
One of our neighbors asked me yesterday if i got into the hot tub....no, I didn't get in when snow is blowing through the screens! Doesn't sound like a good time. Maybe today there won't be so much wind. I shoveled yesterday so I'm a little sore.....or it might just be because im older now?
I have been in the hot tub when it is snowing, multiple times. We have these hot tubs powered by wood stoves, and I have been to some in rental cabins or hotels. It's not something I would put my money into though. One of our neighbors asked me yesterday if i got into the hot tub....no, I didn't get in when snow is blowing through the screens! Oh I see of course things are different here and the hot tub is regarded as a bath!I have been in the hot tub when it is snowing, multiple times. We have these hot tubs powered by wood stoves, and I have been to some in rental cabins or hotels. It's not something I would put my money into though.
I think Jeff is talking about an electric one that meant for outdoors.Oh I see of course things are different here and the hot tub is regarded as a bath!

So far it's just fluffy dry snow. It's hard to walk through because it's 10" deep but thank God it's not like stepping on a banana peel.Be careful on the slippery stuff Cathie - you too Jeff!
Work smarter . . . not harder, my motto! Also even though the weather people say the snow won't be melting anytime soon we get melting in the sun. I watched the snow melt and fall off my van's windows today because I'm too lazy to clean them myselfI mean why bother working myself to death when I'm not allowed on the streets in a level 3 weather emergency anyway. We'll get the ice skating rink the South has soon enough anyway.
Time to rest a bit
