Good morning everyone!

I sent an email to my brothers about my cousin coming to the UK and wanting to discuss what we want to do with dad's asset. Neither of them can meet up but they want to discuss dad's so this will have to be done via email. However I can look forward to a day in London with my cousin after all they have travelled from the otherside of the world.

Natrah

PS: I now have an image George and Dickie winding each other up
I left out the word 'asset'.

Good afternoon everyone!

I spent about an hour outside after creating a waterfall in my enclosure. Whilst I decided to leave a little present for Natrah for her trouble.

Dear Jacky - I am sure Natrah appreciated your present. I have been outside too - first having a long walk on the breakwater, and then later having photos taken of me in my garden - you will probably see one eventually.
Love from Zola xxxxx

Good evening everyone!

I'm looking forward to those photos Zola but meanwhile here's a photo of an Angle Shades Moth outside a shop. It looks as though I will be the only one meeting my cousin from Malaysia in London!

Just about to get the bus back to Jacky.

Goodnight everyone

Hello Natrah - Zola had a rather confusing dayThe fence at the end of our garden has rotted over the years, and the shed at one end of it too. So we had two workmen here all day - first to clear a wide enough path to get stuff out - they had to cut down a tree, and a lot of branches from other trees too. Then they will replace the fence, and we hope to get a small non-rotting shed to go on the concrete base of the old shed eventually. We had to hang around in case they wanted to ask about anything. So Zola didn't get out this morning and very little attention from us - but this afternoon, as soon as they left, Richard took Zola to the breakwater - however, there were a lot of loose dogs around, and Zola kept turning to come back to his dad - usually he just marches straight on.
The men are not coming back until Monday, so Zola will have his proper routine tomorrow. One of the workmen had a really loud voice, and talked a LOT ! We are fairly quiet people, so found it very trying! Still, the work has to be done, and the weather stayed dry.
You will not get to see Zola's photos until Easter, I'm afraid, but you will like them, I'm sure. I love your moth - was it just sitting there in the street ?
Love to you, Jackie, Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie and Zolaxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello again Natrah - we had a fairly peaceful day today-it has been raining quite a bit, so no breakwater walk for Zola. However, he was quite happy bashing around his room, and occasionally tugging at my trouser hem - then, when he and I had our now traditional rest- no fire lit, though - he got under my fleece, as usual, and went to sleep - and started to do little slightly snuffly snores ! It was lovely, and he slept for a long time - I was very careful not to disturb him. His little head was tucked under my chin.- I feel really honoured that he trusts me so much.

Good evening everyone!

I hope you have better weather tomorrow Angie and that Zola was able to get out. Have you got a date for your injections yet? We had a lovely weather here and after teaching I met a couple of friends in Rayleigh we were celebrating a birthday. However before going to Rayleigh I came back here to feed Jacky and found a couple of lovely presents 🤣🤣🤣 so my friend wasn't the only one to get presents🤣🤣🤣!

Goodnight everyone

Jacky's feelings were probably hurt, after all the trouble she had gone to!
The bluebells have started to appear in Bude by the sides of the road - the ones in the local bluebell wood are usually a bit later, so I hope the workmen will finish our fence soon, so we shall be free to go there. It is going to take our garden a bit of time to recover, but it had to be done.
My next injections are not until the middle of May, so I shall have had twice as long to wait as I used to do. The hospital which runs the headache department is very short of money, and is closing some things down, so I hope that won't include it.
I didn't watch the Boat Race, but I support Oxford - I lived there for some time, working as an assistant to the chief psychologist at the Warneford hospital there, and it was a great city to be in.

Good evening everyone!

Yes I enjoyed my music holidays in Oxford where I used to stay at St Hilda's College. I am considering going this year but I'm considering my finances and then of course there's Jacky. I've found that if I go away Jacky can stay with the head nurse at the vets because she specialises in keeping tortoises over winter and if their owners are away. She is the one whose Sulcata broke out of their enclosure and massacred her garden. The nurse arrived home to see the last flower disappearing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🐢🐢🐢 and also the local exotics shop looks after tortoises. The shop owner has a couple of Aldabras and gave me some good advice about Jacky and Daisy and their enclosure.

Anyway it is more unsettled here now eventhough I've only had the heating on in the morning. Jacky is okay and one kind neighbour has left a massive bunch of dandelions for her on my windowsill. I noticed that she has left no presents today but she is probably saving them for tomorrow when my friends come for our coffee morning.

Goodnight everyone

Dear Natrah - I hope you had a good time with your friends this morning. It rained pretty heavily most of the day here - the workmen hadn't planned to come, luckily, so we didn't have them tramping the garden to a muddy sludge ! I think they will be bringing the wood tomorrow to start the fence. We were a bit worried that they might have chopped down somewhere a bird was nesting, but the robin,at least, is coming for worms all the time, so his nest must be ok. We shall be really glad when the fence is finished - it has turned out to be a bigger and more expensive job than we expected - and then we shall have to get a new shed -possibly a synthetic one, which won't rot.
Zola had his afternoon stroke by the fire today - it was really cold - I have been giving him a fire-free stroke recently most days- but today was the proper thing !

Good evening everyone!

It was more April weather here today but not as cold as where Angie, Zola and Edward live. How is it in the US @Cathie G also I wonder how Chef (@Chefdenoel10) is?

Good luck with the fence Angie and I hope the shed doesn't cost too much. We had a lovely coffee morning and my friend Heather brought myself and Jenny some daffodils. Meanwhile Jacky got some dandelions from Jenny and I must say that Jacky has been a good girl apart from bedtime when I put her in one part of the enclosure and she promptly walked away and buried herself under the green carpet strips directly under the basking lamp!

Goodnight everyone

Good evening everyone!

I don't think you can see me here!

Hello Natrah - we are hoping to get the fence finished tomorow, which will be a relief - the chap doing it is very haphazard about timing, and we feel we have to stay in just in case he wants to come unexpectedly.
We will then have to organise getting a shed - from somewhere that will put it up for us. Once that is all done, we can forget about it for a few more years !
The robin is coming for worms whenever he catches sight of Richard in the garden - we are sure he has a nest here, but not sure if there are any eggs yet. I do hope he will let us meet his babies when the time comes. It was extremely cold last night, and I think it will be the same tonight- also there was very heavy rain last night, and when we went out in the car, several fields by the road had completely turned to lakes !
Love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxx( who has been remarkably kind and tolerant about getting his routine messed up !)

Dear Natrah - we have had another difficult day, but the fence is up and there are just a few minor things to be done tomorrow. We will be very glad when it is all over.
I hope you will have a pleasant time over Easter -and that Jacky looks after you.
Zola is sending you his Easter picture now, in case you don't have time to see it on the day
Lots of love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone,

It's been a lovely day here and Natrah thought of Zola because there was a very friendly Robin behind the flat as well as Blue **** and Great ****. There were several of **** all answering each other (I expect this post will be edited). Zola your mum and dad must be glad that the fence is up and you behaved very well whilst it was going up. Daisy would have been trying to get under it

Well both of us were out today and in the morning Natrah went shopping for her Easter cake ingredients (see below) and I was out in the afternoon. Edward and Dickie did you go out and Sherman how are you? Natrah was baking her cakes whilst I was making some presents of my own🤣🤣🤣🤣!

Happy Easter Everyone

Yes Dickie has been out today & so have we! When we got back she had already gone into her kennel. Sherman will have plenty of attention on Sunday as the sanctuary are holding an Easter event & they usually get a lot of people attending. Includes a tour round to see all the permanent residents as well as those up for adoption.
There will be photos so if I see any of Sherman I’ll copy them over.

Those cakes look yummy 😋
Dickie has been outside every day & is eating well.
Sherman will get lots of attention Easter Sunday as they are having an open day with stalls & stuff. Included is a tour of the premises to see all the permanent residents where I’m sure Sherman will be a star attraction. He loves the attention 😁
