Oops. My original reply disappeared then reappeared after doing it again but is not there when I want to edit. Oh well ☺️ you see me & technology don’t go together!
Happy Easter everyone
Good afternoon everyone!

Can't wait for the pics Sue! Lovely weather here so Jacky will go out as soon as she's finished her dandelions see below. Everyone I went shopping this morning and on my way back towards the cliffs I passed some waste land where I intended to pick Jacky's dandelions and I was amazed to see a Brimstone Butterfly along way from the woods! I know that this was mum and dad's butterfly because the first time I saw it was just over a year after mum's death in mid-August about the time of my birthday (mum died on the 14th August 2008). This next time I saw it was near dad's anniversary in 2021 near my old flat. It was seen again in 2022 near the cemetery when I was returning from one of my trips to find my missing stuff and today I think it was their way of telling me that they are pleased with the way that I am looking after Jacky and keeping in touch with my cousins here and in Malaysia and that they understand why I couldn't go to the cemetery a few weeks ago when I wasn't well

Dear Natrah - we have had a very cold wet day here -but at least the fence is finished ! Not sure how much it is going to cost, but it had to be done, and as soon as possible - it looks pretty sturdy, and hopefully will last as long as we do ! We didn't go out at all wiith Zola, and he seemed very restless, but finally I was able to give him his special long evening stroke, and he enjoyed that.
How lovely to see your Brimstone Butterfly - what a wonderful sign.
I hope you have a good day tomorrow- are you involved in any Easter musical event?
Love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy. and to all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Below is a picture of my Teatime feast. Angie I shall be meeting friends for lunch at the theatre cafe and booking our seats for the Fawlty Towers show in November. I'm pleased Zola enjoyed his stroke but as for Jacky she's wondering why I didn't appreciate her latest present!

Goodnight everyone

Perhaps Zola should have a word with Jacky to tell her she mustn't spoil you with too many generous presents !

I think Dickie has been hiding her presents in the garden as I haven’t seen any for a couple of days. Hunt the Easter eggs (poo) tomorrow 😀
Hoping it’s going to warm up a little soon so she can stay outside. She’s very much an outside tortoise!
That food looks lovely Natrah. We are going to my sisters for dinner tomorrow, looking forward to her Sunday roast it’s always delicious & seeing all the cats of course! George will have a peaceful (?) day at home with Dickie no doubt bashing against her enclosure all afternoon. Really hoping the weather is sunny so we can leave her out in the garden where she is happier.

Thank you, Natrah, for those interesting photos - I should think some of our USA friends will like to see them, too. Zola has been rather unsettled today again, as his routine is still not right. However, his dad was able to take him for a long walk on the breakwater , which tired him (Zola!) out, and he came back and had a long rest with me. Yesterday, he managed to end up on his back after climbing round his room, and was covered in poo, and very cross when we found him. Today he is calmer, and more his happy little self. Having workmen around , and having us a bit stressed, really affected him.
Richard saw the first swallow of the year perched on a wire opposite our carport today -last year they started nesting at the beginning of June, so we hope it is one of "our" swallows, and will stay around! At least the workmen are gone from our carport, and our car will be back in place each day to receive any presents the swallows care to drop on it - that's really the first sign they want to nest on the shelf above it !
Love to you, Jacky, Angel Daisy, and all our forum frienda xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

I've had a great day with a very long walk albeit overcast. I did see some Orange-tip Butterflies, robins, Linnets and Little Egrets as well as the fox. Angie I think it could be something in the air as Jacky has been restless. She did her housework yesterday and didn't like me tidying it up. This morning she ended up with two soaks because she left a present and she was very restless when I put her to bed. I hope Zola was okay after being on his back. Hopefully things will be calmer tomorrow.

Goodnight everyone

Think the fox in your pictures has recently had some cubs. She doesn’t look in great condition so I hope she can find enough food to feed herself. Perhaps hoping to find some leftovers. 🙏🏻
Sherman’s pyramiding was there when they took ownership of him at the sanctuary. On Saturday he was attempting to climb over a barricade to the pond. Luckily Pete saw him & managed to put something in place to stop him. Don’t know why he wants to go there, it’s too deep for him to have a soak.

The cafe owners feed Mr and Mrs Fox and she's had loads of cubs over the years

Wow!!!!
Angie is right on the money!
We in the U.S. are captivated by the history of those wonderful castles!!!
Does anyone comprehend that ONE DAY A LONG LONG TIME AGO SOMEONE ACTUALLY LIVED IN THEM!?!?!?
I blows my mind every time I see a castle or the like! 🤯

All those Little Rock’s and bricks it took to build! Must have taken a long while to build up the building and then make it warm and inviting to live in????

We (as Z generations) have it made.
We would never last in a cold dark brick building with no light no heat no water and most of all no phones!!! 🤣😂.
Throwing your toilet water out the window
Is NOT my “cup of tea” (shall we say…) 🤭

Still…. So fascinating to me…

Thank you so much for sharing
And I hope you are all well.
Happy Easter 🐣🐰🐇
Love ❤️
Chef
Sally
Squirt
And …. Well…( I can’t stop saying it yet)
Wee Gary 😢

Hello Natrah -Zola is still a bit unsettled, and ended on his back again, but no poo this time, and I don't think he was there long.
I'm not sure if I ever told you, but he has his own email address-
[email protected]. uk (honestly) - and he had a nice email from his friend Jane, in Australia, thanking him for his Easter photos. She used to work at the local hospital here, as a physiotherapist, and I had some treatment with her, and she met Zola lots of times, and really loved him -it's rather nice to think he is remembered from so far away.
Love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxxx
