Edward have you had any more snow because it has been very cold here but at least it was sunny today. Yesterday was miserable with rain but at least we had no flooding.
We haven't had any more snow, on the contrary we have been experiencing record high temps and the snow is almost all melted.

Hello Natrah
All ok now with the heating I’m pleased to say but keeping 🤞
We haven’t disturbed Dickie but we can’t hear anything so assume she is still hibernating. I open the little door occasionally to allow fresh air in which is likely to be colder than the air inside the box.
We are going on the steam train Saturday for our usual annual Xmas meal. It’s getting very expensive so may be the last one we go on.
Hope your new bed gives you a good nights sleep 💤
Ps did you forget the copper picture?

Good evening everyone!

Angie I hope you had a good night's sleep and am feeling much better today. Well Sue how is your heating and Angie how is your shower? My bed arrived today but I had to cancel all the pupils to morning was spent stripping the old bed and clearing my bedroom in preparation for the arrival of the bed. Whilst clearing away I had to dusting that I hadn't done for weeks and when I moved the bedside table the dust was pretty phenomenal🤣!

When I cleared the drawers of the old bed I made use of Jacky's clean enclosure and put my clothes in there. This made more room and stopped me from tripping up. I also found one of my copper pictures that I made when I was a child and you can see it below. In the seventies when we lived in Malaysia mum and her friends used to run copper picture making classes and us children used were taught as well. I have another copper picture of a goosegirl in my art case but it is covered by bed clothes at the moment.

Edward have you had any more snow because it has been very cold here but at least it was sunny today. Yesterday was miserable with rain but at least we had no flooding. Zola when do you have your beak trimmed and Sue is Dickie still hibernating?

Goodnight everyone

Hello Natrah - I love your copper picture - I've never seen anything similar - you are very talented !
I had my injections on Wednesday, and though my headaches are rather better for the moment, I have been feeling very shaky and quite ill - I have a lot of stuff to sort out which we had to move from the bathroom when the shower was being done, and it's sitting all over the kitchen floor now ! I look forward to finding some treasures that I've forgotten all about !
The shower itself is a big improvement, and the actual flow of the water is stronger than before - maybe the filters were getting blocked for years, and we didn't realise it ! It looks very smart, and we won't have to worry about leaks any more. The floor is a bit slippery, so we have got a non-slip mat , with pictures of turtles on it ! It was very stressful having the plumber here, although he is a very nice man. We are not used to other people in the house, these days !
Zola will be going to the vet next Friday in Bideford - this is on the way to Barnstaple, where we get the radicchio, so we will arrange to get some while we are already half-way there - then Zola will be set up for Christmas.
I hope your new bed is proving to be what you wanted. Sleep well tonight.
Lots of love to you,Jacky and Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Zola xxxxxxxx and Angie xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Chef it's good to see you here. How are you and how Sally, Squirt and GGGGGAAAARRRYYYY? Angie I hope you are feeling a bit better now. I have gone a bit dear in my right ear thanks to my sinuses but I am thinking of getting them syringed anyway. It's been a rather damp and drizzly day today but warm so I hope that Dickie is okay. However we did have some sun later but unfortunately not whilst I was having lunch at the Cliffs Pavilion so I didn't get to see Daisy's rainbow.

Anyway I had a good time with my friends last night and my cholesterol watching went straight out the window! We had dinner at Tomassi's Restaurant and I Chestnut and Stilton Pie followed by Coffee and Amaretto Cake Sundae. My friends had Roast Turkey and Ham and Turkey Salad followed by Belgian Waffle, Apple Cake and Maple Walnut Sundae.

I also thought of dad today because it is six years since he got out of the house at 4 am with advanced Alzheimer's. Thankfully he was found by a neighbour who looked after anyway it was a long time ago now and he nana, mum and Daisy to keep him company. I shall be thinking of you on Friday Zola.

Goodnight everyone

Dear Natrah - we went to look at the sea as usual, although it was raining a bit, and saw the biggest and brightest rainbow I have seen for a very long time ! ! I held Zola up to the car window, and told him that it was Daisy's rainbow , and that she was there somewhere - he looked very intently, and maybe he saw her. We lost sight of it ,as the sun went in then.
I don't expect Zola will mind going to the vet - it's his dad and me that mind - not so much now, as we know he will be all right - the first time, the vet told us to go away for an hour, and they would just do a small bit at a time, and give him a rest in between. So we were anxiously pacing about down the road ! He and the vet survived the ordeal quite well !
Goodnight to you, Jacky, Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Oh Angie thankyou for letting me know about the rainbow. That's made my day. By the way Zola sounds very well behaved at the vets unlike Jacky who walks away and Daisy who liked to shove!

Hello everyone,
I am sorry but I am not getting my emails to let me know this thread is still on. Just recently I just came on here and see that I have missed about 4,000,000 pages!!!
I am old and there is just no way of going back to read them. I have left off on my poor wee Angie on her way to her injections again and my wee Natra going for her concert. I have read the last few pages that’s why I know how things are going now. I just wanted you all to know I am ALWAYS HERE in spirit!!!!!!
I am a little overwhelmed right now with the neighbors and work but the boogers are dealing with me running around myself in circles. If when I get a chance to get on here I will always leave a smiling face or a thumbs up. I miss you all so terribly and had a quiet holiday with me and the animals all together ourselves.
I wish you all happiness and health and will make it a “date night” to get on here and say my peace. 🤭
Angie I hope your shower is delightful
And Natra I hope you get another chance at seeing a rainbow 🌈 in honor of Daisy.
Ok, it’s 11pm here and work has me BE THERE at 4:30am.

Hope all the others are living their best dreams!!!!
Please keep posting pictures for me to see!!!
Any Christmas trees up yet?
Any snow ?
Any funny turtle side eyes???
ANYTHING!!!!! 🤣😂

Hello Natrah - today started off fairly well, but it got very cold later. However, I have been sitting with Zola by a lovely fire, and he was very calm and peaceful -it is soothing for both of us. This week we are getting a smart electricity meter installed - we didn't want to, particularly, as there have been lots of stories about them not working properly. But we are told the new ones are much better - I can't see us checking it a lot, as it is in a special cupboard above our front door, so you have to get the stepladder to see it.! Do you have one? I hope they are not noisy. Then we have the vet and radicchio collecting on Friday. Then next week we have our dental check-ups - and I am so hoping the dentist will be able to sort Richard's toothache out - he has been in a lot of pain from that for weeks. And also we have to get the car serviced - I hope we shall be finished with everything then, and can concentrate on nice things like putting our Christmas tree up !
I didn't see any rainbows today, but I always think of Daisy now when I see one - and the one I told you about yesterday was amazing, and truly worthy of her.
Lots of love from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

It's good to see Chef back here but I'm sorry to hear about the neighbours. My neighbours have been okay recently and quite a bit quieter. It's been quite cold here and I assume that it was light that I felt on my face on my way home. Anyway Angie I don't think you need to worry about the smart because you should get a little display unit which could be plugged in some where more convenient. I have a smart meter for the electric and the display unit is next to the TV. It does make you think when you see it displaying the kettle, toaster and washing machine but these things are necessary. Unfortunately the gas is not on a smart meter at the moment but that I should see to it at some point. I hope you're feeling better today Angie and that Richard's tooth is better soon.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Sleeping Beauty and Angel Daisy

I hope everybody's warm enough? Jacky is okay in her fridge but she would like to hear about that rainbow Zola. Sue are you going on that steam train journey again? Edward how is your servant's course coming on? It must be the end of term soon.

We went on Saturday & enjoyed all the food. The service went more smoothly this time. I think they have cut down on the number of tables available. There was only 1 carriage. That probably explains why it’s got so expensive as they still run the train & have to pay the chefs & staff but with less income.
We will have to wait & see how much it is next year then decide whether to do it again or not.

We have a smart meter for the electric but it was done a few years ago & I’ve never understood the display unit so we don’t use it. We haven’t had the gas meter changed yet that’s a job for when it’s warmer!

Yes, the term ends on the 20.12, but I have my last lecture on the 13th. After that I still have a few deadlines, but I will probably be travelling to see my parents already after the 13th.

Good evening everyone!

Angie do you have your smart meter and do you have a display unit? GGGGGAAAARRRYYYY you look you're in Disneyland in that enclosure. I'm sorry that you're owner is still having trouble with the neighbours. Mine woke me at 2.30 am this morning and I told them off about it. They did quieten down although I could hear a few more noises until about 3.30/45 am. One of them told me that he was listening to gospel music which I thought was strange at that time of night.

Anyway I did talk to the landlord and they are meant to be talking to them then I noticed that one of the neighbours (two flatmates share the same flat) was coming home at 3.15 pm. He works for the NHS in London so it's just possible that he could have been going to work at that time.

Aside from this I had a good day and I got to do some Xmas shopping before teaching. Whilst I was out shopping I had a Turkey Panini at Tomassi's Cafe followed by Mince pies (see below). Edward I bet your owner is looking forward to seeing her parents. Zola I bet you had a long cuddle as it was a cold day. Sherman, Sue and Dickie how are you all and how's George?

Goodnight everyone

Hello Natrah - the smart meter arrival has now been postponed until next week. We don't have a gas supply in this area at all, so everyone has central heating oil - which is very expensive ! Actually, in the kitchen, we have a small gas hob connected to a little gas cylinder in the cupboard underneath - we got this set up when we first came here, as it is so much more convenient for cooking, being more adjustable. We have a Stanley oil fired central heating stove- like an Aga - it's rather noisy, but it works well.
The forecast is for 0 degrees tonight - Zola will be kept warm, of course. You should be getting paid - or free food at least - for telling us about all the lovely things you eat at the cafe !
I hope all is well with you and that you get a peaceful night.
Love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends - especially dear little Gary - from

I am soooo happy you told off your neighbors. My mom says that when she tells ours off they only get louder and do things like slam doors, kids at 11:30pm jump off the beds..etc..
Today my mom got home early and came inside. It had been quiet all day but when she got out of her shower this crazy music started playing REALLY LOUDLY!??
So my mom turned up the tv so loud that my eyes wobbled back and forth!!!!
I almost got my first migraine aunt Angie!!!!
Finally after 15 minutes the music stopped and it has been very quiet (for now) all night….
My mom kept the tv on loud for a little while longer to make sure her point was understood. I just don’t know why some people are so inconsiderate?????
Could you please give my mom some tips on how to get these people to quieten down??? They don’t have to be silent, just
“Normal noise” would be great.
Ok I’m late for bed by 4 hours.
I am sending quiet smooches to you and Sleeping beauty Aunt Natrah and hope that at least ONE of us gets some rest….

❤️🐌- slurp
