Dear Natrah - I hope your day has gone well. I went out with my mum and dad to Launceston, where my dad got several huge boxes of fat-balls for the birds in our garden, on special offer. It is expensive to feed the birds, but it is lovely to watch them, isn't it. I can see several feeders from my conservatory windows, and hear more in the garden.
Then we went to Roadford lake, as it was sunny, and had a bit of a walk, but it was really cold, so we came back - and then this evening I had an especially good stroke and cuddle with my mum,by the fire. She nearly went to sleep - she has told me I must scrabble at her if I think that is happening, to wake her up !
Goodnight to you and all my friends from Zola xxxxx

I don't think the dermacool has anything in it that would react with anything else - it's basically a"rich acqueous cream" containing menthol, and has no medicinal properties - just a magical ability to soothe the burning sensation. Let me know if you can't get hold of it, anyway.

@MaNaAk & @zolasmum just letting you know the rash discomfort has thankfully reduced. The skin is still quite sensitive but mainly round the belly button where the infection is. Ive got some more cream to use as I’ve used up the other.
The chemist had never heard of Dermacool but as things are improving I’ll carry on with what I’ve got. I will ask elsewhere or look online & see where to get it from for the future. Thanks again Angie
At the risk of being totally boring I’ve developed a chesty cough which I’m sure I caught from the hospital as I started coughing there. Poor Pete reckons he’s got it now! He‘s like you Natrah & suffers with his sinuses so we’re a right pair right now.
Dickie is still asleep & hasnt moved again. What are you going to do about Jacky? When do you start the process of waking her?

Have found Dermacool on line & ordered some
I'm glad you are getting it -even if you think you are over the rash, it may take a while to go completely - I think it might be useful for insect bites and such, though I haven't tried that. My rash is invisible -no redness, or very little, and yet it itches and burns like mad when it gets going -I haven't had it for some months now, but I think it will come back as it has done before. I am still wearing my clothes inside out as much as I can, and avoiding anything at all scratchy. My scalp still itches all the time, although I've tried lots of special shampoos etc, and I don't think that Dermacool would be good on that ! I'm very sorry about the infection from your op, and your cough - you have been going through a very stressful time - Pete too - and I expect it has lowered your resistance to illness. Lets hope it's the last thing you get !

Dear Natrah - it has been a rather cold, wet, and windy day here, so I only had a quick look at the sea. I've mostly been keeping warm with my mum. She has made an appointment for me to have my beak trimmed next week, with a vet I call Uncle Henry - he has a tortoise called Grandma who is over 100 years old. I don't much like him doing this, but he doesn't take long, and doesn't mind if I protest by pooing all over him.
He is in Bideford - we might go to Barnstaple then, to get some radicchio to cheer me up !
I hope you are ok -did you have pancakes today as well ?
Love to you,Jacky and Angel Daisy and my other friends from Zola xxxxx

Dear Sue, Angie and Zola,

Sue I'm pleased that the rash has gone down but how is the cough. I hope you're not going down with a cold. I remember going down with a terrible cold after a small operation years ago. I think your immune system could be low because of the stress you've been under like Angie says. My sinuses are okay at the moment although they are usually slightly blocked or running. I usually have to decide which one they are and act accordingly to get a goodnight's sleep!

How are you now Angie? I hope you're classes are okay and I also hope that Zola's beak trimming goes well. Jacky has never had her beak trimmed and I am going to start adjusting the fridge tomorrow. It has been mild here but I am aware that it could turn colder again. Also today miserable and I was going to replace Jacky's heat bar bulb but I found that I hadn't made a note of the wattage so I will have to get another day.

I did manage to have some pancakes at Tomassi's Cafe today and I hope that Angie and Richard enjoyed some as well. You two could have some when you feel better Sue and Zola you should have your Radicchio!

Goodnight everyone!

Thankyou Angie❤️
The rash is pimply but not so obvious now. I can still feel it on my skin but at least the burning has stopped.
The itch doesn’t go even when it’s scratched but it has reduced now thanks to the daily tablet & cream.
I am a generally itchy person! When I get undressed I always have to give my back a good scratch. I get excema on my scalp so use a medicated shampoo. Some fabrics make me itch more. I haven’t had to do what you do though & turn my clothes inside out. I do sometimes cut labels off especially on bra’s.
There's clearly something affecting your skin so I’m glad you’ve found Dermacool & told me about it. Should be delivered soon.
Fingers crossed you get a long reprieve!

Hi Natrah those pancakes looks delicious! I hadn’t realised it was pancake day.
Thankyou for your concern. I don’t feel too bad now just a bit sore on the bellybutton still. The cough is quite chesty & I’m wheezing a bit but it’s definately improving. There is a cold but it’s not too bad. I tested for covid just in case, negative. Pete is a day or two behind me with it. Must be viral as I’ve been on AB on & off for a couple of weeks now.
You have a number of medical things to contend with yourself so I hope you stay well too. ❤️

Yes my underactive thyroid brought out my vitiligo on my neck therefore in the summer I have to put suncream on my neck which brings out eczema on my hands. It's like a vicious circle!

Hello Natrah - I hope you've had a good day. It has been very wet and windy here, and I only got a quick look at the sea. So I was a bit upset, and spent a long time attacking my mum's feet and climbing around in my room, knocking stuff over. My dad lit the fire, but I wasn't in the mood for cuddles from my mum, and even though she gave me some treats, I kept scrabbling on her lap - so in the end my dad took me back to my room and left me !
When I get into one of what they call "I don't know what I want, but I want it NOW !!!" moods, they generally leave me by myself for a while, which is fine, as I don't really like upsetting them - especially not my mum - and I usually calm down in time.
Tomorrow is my mum's balance class day, and maybe we can go somewhere nice after that.
There are lots of daffodils by the roads - some are already in flower. In the past,Devon and Cornwall were famous for their early daffodils, and huge bunches of them were sent up to London by train, to be sold Then the first and second world wars came, and farmers had to dig up their daffodil fields to grow food. So the women and children planted the bulbs by the sides of the roads, so as not to waste them- and that's why there are so many daffodils around here now !
Goodnight and love to you and all my friends from Zola xxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Zola I hope you've calmed down now so you can support your mum when she finishes her class tomorrow. Sue how are you feeling now and had Dickie moved at all. It has been quite a nice day here and in total contrast to Tuesday which was awful.

I have been using my phone to reply to my threads this week because my computer is being repaired. However it has been repaired and it should be returned soon. When I get it back I want to start look at flats again not just to buy but also to rent just to see what's out there. I have been having to ask the neighbours (who could be dealing drugs) to keep the noise down at night. They are okay about that but I feel I shouldn't have to keep doing this. I understand that hearing the neighbours is to be expected in a flat but I don't think it's normal to hear them at odd hours in the night.

Goodnight everyone

Dear Natrah - have you tried wearing gloves to put the suncream on your neck - I was thinking of the cheap disposable ones you can get by the box - useing them just once and then throwing them away - just to keep it off your hands ?
Zola got very lively after watching tv sitting on my lap - Richard werapped him in his little towel, and put him in his box, but when he checked later he was climbing all around in there. I am about to check him again, hoping he is asleep now.

Good evening everyone!

Angie I hope your class went well and that Zola has calmed down. I wonder if the mild weather has anything to do with his energy. Sue how are you feeling now? I have to use Kid's Suntan lotion on my vitiligo and apply it with a tissue. I forgot to say that I wear cotton gloves inside rubber gloves when I do housework so maybe I could use these as well. Just on my way back from my pupils in Rayleigh but it's been a lovely day. I better go as the bus is due.

Goodnight everyone

Hello Natrah - my class went pretty well, but it is very tiring - non-stop for an hour. I only have 3 more sessions, but I really have to try doing the exercises at home still, after that.
Zola has been in a much better mood today - he played with my feet without attacking them, and settled down very well with me by the fire -I have no idea what the problem was yesterday!
It was a reasonably nice afternoon today, but some heavy rain in the morning, and there were huge puddles everywhere.
Goodnight from Angie and Zola xxxxx

Hello Natrah
yes im ok thanks. Get tired as coughing during night.
I’ve finished the AB now & the steroid cream for the rash. Now I’ve got the dermacool I’m going to use that. Ive used it once & I see what you mean about a cold sensation @zolasmum . It’s quite nice.
Poor Pete is really suffering with his nose fully blocked as lining swollen. He’s had several ops on his nose when he was young which didn’t work too well & any cold affects it quite badly.
He checked on Dickie again today but she hasn’t moved again.
The buyer is going to the house Monday with an architect as he wants an extension building at the back. Not heard any more re sale going through other than a couple of queries. Hoping it holds on until Dickies awake & our garden has dried up a bit. His sister just wants it going through asap.
Your neighbours could be reported to the landlord. Are they new tenants replacing the one who moved out or existing? I wouldn’t be comfortable in that environment.
Goodluck with the flat search.

Dear Sue,

I hope Pete is feeling better today I imagine he is on anti-inflammatory medication. I'm the newest tenant but the ones that are a nuisance were there just before I was. The other neighbours want them out as well and they have informed the landlords/estate agents who that they can't just through them and they've also phoned the police. I've told them about the noise and I believe they have spoken because it sounds like they are trying to be quieter. However I will let them know again if I feel that it is getting noisy again. The neighbours have been okay since I mentioned the noise although they are saying that it is other neighbours including the house next door!

This is a nice place to live and the noise hasn't bothered me although I have noticed on the odd occasion. It's just that I've noticed it a bit more anyway waiting to receive the computer and then I can have a look and see what's out there.

It sounds very helpful where your buyer is concerned.

Get better quickly Pete

Thankyou for asking I’m much improved. Just the cough to get rid of 😊
When Dickie is awake we will weigh her. She is around 7lbs usually. Don’t think it will be long now especially if the weather stays relatively mind for this time if year.
