Good evening everyone!

I've missed a couple of days because of my ever changing timetable and now I hear that another colleague has left so I will get some of his pupils as well. It's also been a funny week with my dental appointment on Tuesday and Jacky's checkup tomorrow. I need another filling on Monday so that's my morning sorted and I am hopeful that the vet will be happy with Jacky's weight tomorrow. Dickie's vet sounds very thorough.

Angie wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to have those injections. I imagine that Richard would need to be shown how to do injections. You've reminded me that many years ago my parents and nana were involved in a minor car crash whilst we were on holiday in Wales. My nana had become very shaky as she grew older but after treatment for a minor injury from the crash she was much better but if only I could remember what the treatment was.

It has been cold here as well and I have had the heating on a bit more and Jacky has been lying in. Anyway she will have a soak before going to the vets and some strawberries and because we have an afternoon appointment I will put her straight to bed when we get back. She has promised to shove the vet!

Goodluck with Jacky I’m sure the vet will be very pleased with her.
Also goodluck at the dentist. I had a big molar extraction 10 days ago which I was dreading as the back part had broken off. She managed to get it all out although it was breaking up. Been pretty sore & but is improving. Bit of a pain having to eat over one side of my mouth but still managed although food nearly cold by the time I finish!

Good afternoon tortoises!

We are on our way to see the person who likes to poke tortoises. I normally try to walk away from this person but today I decided to give her a special treat. After my drowning session Natrah gave me breakfast with my supplements ! Included with these supplements is a yellow powder called turmeric ! I thought it would be a good idea to use the food bowl as are basking table after breakfast and cover myself in this wonderful spice as a special treat for the vet. I can't understand why Natrah feels sorry for the vet.

Good evening everyone!

We are on our way home! The person that likes to poke tortoises told Natrah that my weight was fine but she decided to give me a blood test to be sure. The results of the blood test will be known on Wednesday. I can't understand why Natrah needed to explain why I might be a bit yellow or apologize for the presents that I left them both! The vet said I might have weighed a bit more had I not left the presents !

Well done Jacky -I'm sure the tortoise-poking person was very grateful for your presents really. I had a lovely walk on my breakwater this afternoon- it was really hot and sunny - I think you would like it too, though you might not want to walk quite as far as I do !

I had to get carted off to somewhere a few days ago in my little plastic something or other too. I wasn't sure where because I couldn't see out. I don't even know what I'm in. Any way that was nerve wracking so you know what I did. Before they could do anything to me they had to pick me up. But my little trick didn't work. They still thought I was cute and just cleaned me up. Dang it . I love your trick Jackie but I guess your trick didn't work either. They still messed around didn't they.

Good evening everyone;

I hope you're all okay. We are okay here but I felt a bit upset and angry earlier because I phoned my brother to wish my two nephews happy birthdays as I wouldn't have been able to phone them on their actual birthdays after five years of keeping in contact with my brother despite him not doing enough to help care for dad and his eagerness to get his inheritance including what was my home without supporting me when I was grieving he has said that I haven't done much to see my nephews when they were growing up. This is despite him chickening out when it comes close to a meeting and when our cousins arrived from Malaysia. Anyway I enjoyed yesterday and I hope everyone's okay. I shall keep contacting my nephews especially as one is at university and the other one will be at university next year but I will give contact with my brother a rest for a while. Strange as both mum and dad felt they hadn't seen much of him and dad said this when his Alzheimer's was mild.

I"m so sorry, Natrah about your brother - it is he who loses out - he could/should have a kind and thoughtful sister - as I'm sure you would be, given a chance - he is a fool, and one day he will realise it, when you are no longer prepared to make an effort . I wish I'd had a sister like you !
Zola had a lovely long walk today on the breakwater - all the way along and back ! It was sunny, so we thought we should give him the chance while he could. He had a long stroke by the fire with me afterwards -only the fire went out, and I couldn't disturb him to find Richard to re-light it ! It didn't matter really !
I am really looking forward to my new headache stuff - it wil be another 2 or 3 weeks before I get it, I think. I am having a rather bad time at the moment.

It's sad when families act like that and I understand totally. I go through it too. I take care of my disabled brother and have even through my health problems for 18 years. I have one brother that visits daily and helps me a lot. I'm very grateful for him and his wife. I seldom see my sister and other 2 brothers. I wish they would try to be a little more involved with Joe's activities of daily life. It would take a little bit of the responsibility off of me. It's too bad people lose sight of what's really important. Your family.

What I'm trying to do is not allow these kind of things to take over who I am. It's hard because I'd like to punch them. We're losing so much happiness and time together. Keep being you kill them with kindness. You catch more flys with honey. All that kind of stuff. Don't ever stop being you because of how they act. Just be you. Love wins because it's irresistible. It's worth it in the long run. Sorry for the pep talk but I think I'm right. Preacher teach thyself. I'll try it myself again tomorrow
