It has been very mixed weather recently, but Richard bravely managed to get out with a ladder and cut off some large branches from a big eucalyptus tree in our front garden -they looked rather unsafe! Today he was able to take Zola for a walk on the breakwater - something he has missed a lot recently. Then Zola and I sat by the fire for his rest, and he just lay on me and didn't move at all, as he was really tired - he did enjoy the stroking though.
Love to all our friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

I have been reading everyone's news hear and I know Zola hasn't been out quite so much. Like Devon has been funny weather here it has been unsettled but today was quite warm so I've kept an eye on Jacky and she hasn't moved. If Daisy was still here she'd be trying to get out. How are you feeling now Angie? Are your headaches any better?

I'm okay but not very pleased with the post because I posted a card and gift voucher to my brother in Salisbury last Tuesday so how come it only arrived today. I think nine days for a sixtieth birthday card and gift voucher ridiculous. Anyway my brother thanked me for it but I can understand why electronic mail is now more popular than postal mail. The pupils are okay but I had to deal with the same pushy parents who are disappointed that I didn't put their son in for his grade 3 Piano exam. His mum even told me that he can work on the expression of his pieces when he's entered for the exam so therefore I think they should enter him themselves next time.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

The weather was better today, with quite a bit of sunshine,so we went out to look for autumn-coloured trees. We saw some really beautiful places, and the colours against the dark tree trunks were wonderful.
On the way back, we went to look at the sea from our usual place - and beside us we realised there was a bride in her wedding dress ! Richard took Zola over to see her, and explained that it was very lucky to see a tortoise on your wedding day, and that it would bring her a long and happy marriage ! She was very pleased!
I am still feeling rather shaky and unwell, but perhaps it's because of getting used to the injections.
Love to all our friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Dear Zola,

I am so sorry your mom still feels a bit crummy but I must let you know you are a right good chap for making that brides day so beautiful. It’s not very often that a tortoise 🐢 is found anywhere near a wedding!
She must be talking to all her friends and family and especially to her husband about her soon to be wonderful life ahead because
“ A TORTOISE” said so. 😊😉
Nite nite now it’s late here and you should be in bed already.
I will keep you and your dad and your mom in my prayers tonight and please take care of your mom and her wobbles.
If a tortoise can bring a happy life to a bride then I am sure he can take away these headaches.
Love Chef, Sally, squirt…and wee Gary’s shell 🐚 ..😩

Good afternoon everyone!

Angie I hope you're a little bit better today and that you have good weather. That's probably the only couple who can say that they met a tortoise on their wedding day!

These are handmade poppies and I am remembering Great Uncle Alan whose bomber disappeared over Germany and dad's uncles who were captured by the Japanese:IMG20251109140515.jpgIMG20251109140535.jpgIMG20251109140642.jpg

Dear Chef -this is not the first time Zola has been involved in a wedding - you may not have been around here when I described it before, but Zola was our Best Tortoise (instead of Best Man ) when Richard and I got married - we didn't tell anyone, so there were no guests - just 2 secretaries from another department in the building - and the registrar, of course ! We had been together for a long time before then, but I didn't want to get married -( I had been married before, and had left my previous husband because he hit me).
However, Richard and I finally decided it was the right time, but we didn't want a fuss -and of course, Zola was our family ! He was 4 years old at the time, and made a great impression on everyone - and he behaved perfectly !

Oh my goodness!!!
That is so cute!!!!!
Zola…. You are just a ray of sunshine and hope for everyone!!!
Angie, I am so sorry about the first marriage but I hope at least you got one good whack in there before you left!
Glad Zola is away from all of that mess.
You too if course!
And anyway, Richard sounds like a great catch! Maybe you had to go through that bad deal to find out what real happiness can feel like?
Hope you are feeling better my dear friend.
😊

Good evening everyone!

It's been a miserable and I feel like hibernating with Jacky. She's been asleep for over a week but it's not cold enough for her to go in the fridge. I hope you're feeling better Angie and hope you and Sue saw some sun. @The_Four_Toed_Edward have you had much snow and @Chefdenoel10 what's it like where you are?

Goodnight everyone

It has been fairly grim weather here - and everything seems so dark ! Maybe that's just my eyes - I'm hoping to have a cateract op fairly soon, and I believe things seem much brighter afterwards - I look forward to that!
I think the weather is going to be poor for some time - no breakwater for Zola, as a strong wind might blow him into the water ! Although he is pretty solid, really !

Move over Natrah and Jacky, I feel the same way. It’s 35 degrees here tonight and the wind is howling on top of that!!!
They say tomorrow will be in the 50’s!?!?!?
Summer
Wimter
Summer
Winter….
I wish Mother Nature would pick a season and stick to it!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again….
“Tis Mother Nature going through menaupause and NOT MEEEE!!” 😝

It is freezing outside and all I want to do is turn the air conditioner back on for awhile.
If it were not for my pets…I WOULD!!!

Not to change the subject but as I am writing this my brat of a neighbor is banging on the floors and blasting some sort of music or tv..
Her illegal boyfriend has come to stay for the week again and her kid missed school today because she came home at 4 am last night
AND in a different car with a different man to boot!!! Now her boyfriends car sits in the driveway IN MY SPOT and there goes my sleep for the rest of the week…😖😖😖

I hope everyone else is having a better night than me!
❤️🖤

Dear Chef,

Isn't there someone you can report this to? My noisy neighbours are meant to be moving out on the 28th November and the other neighbours and I have complained to the landlords numerous times. The new neighbour and other neighbours have complained to the council (isn't there an equivalent in the US?) and sent doorbell footage. The council are appalled and could be chasing up the landlords. I haven't seen the new neighbour to hear about anymore developments yet. At the moment I am wearing silicone ear plugs at night which is not good for my hearing but hopefully I won't have to do this for much longer.

Natrah

PS: Your neighbours sound worse than mine!

All this talk of noisy neighbours brings back memories of when I was living at home. I ended up on diazepam to help me sleep & they are addictive. Once I moved to my own house I managed to stop taking them.Noisy neighbours are the worst & have long lasting effects on a persons wellbeing.
My sympathies to all with this problem especially hard when you can’t see a solution 😡

Good evening everyone!

Hopefully mine will be resolved on the 28th November when some neighbours would like to celebrate. I will be celebrating in my own way because I'm due to see 'Fawlty Towers The Play' the following day at the Cliffs Pavilion. We had a bit of sunshine this morning but otherwise it was cloudy but not as dark as yesterday. Anyway don't forget that Edward and his servant have even shorter days. Just going to work out 35 degrees into Celsius because it sounds cold to me.

Hope you're feeling better Angie!

Goodnight

Good morning everyone!

Chef I hope you had some sleep. It's very mild here so I just want to say that I hope Dickie's okay. Jacky is still asleep but I noticed that she has moved her foot!

Natrah
