Hows things this morning? Hope you were able to sleep last night
Good evening everyone!

Last night wasn't too bad and it looks like they are finishing off today. Sue and Angie do you remember Fawlty Towers? My friends and I saw Fawlty Towers The Play today and it was hilarious. Below is a photo of the program and the beautiful sunset but the photo doesn't do it justice.

Goodnight everyone

PS: I hope Richard is okay.IMG20251129170504.jpgIMG20251129164303.jpg

Looks busy along with the promenade. I have watched some episodes of Fawlty Towers which were funny. Someone I know went to a restaurant in London I think, which gives the customer the Fawlty Towers experience. She said it was hilarious but you have to be prepared just in case it gets a bit messy, food & drink wise 😆

Good evening everyone!

Yes Sue my friend wanted to see that version as well but how we would have got to London with our other friend's back trouble I don't know. It's been a lovely day here but I've noticed that the neighbour is still around so I've emailed the landlord in the hope of finding out when he is meant to return the keys. I hope everyone will be okay in the rain tomorrow especially Angie incase they are under a warning. Dad's family have issues with flooding in Malaysia and this has become the norm in recent years.
I remember dad's family home as being very picturesque with Bata River opposite and padi fields but of course there are drawbacks.

Goodnight everyone

PS: I have purchased a new computer as the old one is packing up and I think that £199 is a good price with it's Black Friday tag.

Dear Natrah -so far the weather is ok here, except for being really cold in that sort of clingy unpleasant way, and Richard managed to go for a good walk today, without Zola or me, of course !
Fawlty Towers was inspired by the writer's experience in a hotel in Torquay, I believe - my family used to visit Torquay every summer, to stay with my aunt who lived there (in a small flat -with very little room for 2 extra adults and 3 children) -I found the Fawlty Towers stuff funny, but I resented it being set in Torquay, which I loved !
Love from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

There's no one in upstairs so here's hoping! Angie we had lovely holidays in Devon and Cornwall and we loved Torquay. Fawlty Towers was one of mum's favourites!

Dear Natrah -it has been very rainy and windy here today, but not as cold as previously, and we went out as usual with Zola to look at the sea. I have always loved Devon, and fairly recently found that my long-ago ancestors came from round here, which may explain why I have always felt I belonged. My sur-name is Thorne, and in our travels around this area, we have found a village called Thorne, a Thorne Manor, and many other Thorne-related places. My brother did some research on line about where different names were concentrated in this country, and Thornes were very much concentrated here over many years - probably mostly farming folk, though we did have that manor ! So I have a reason for feeling this is my home territory!
I hope you have a peaceful night with no noise from neighbours - or from wind and rain!
ove to you and all our friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone and @Lyn W and @Cathie G,

I'm just tagging Lyn and Cathie so that I can update them about the neighbour. One of them has gone and the other one is still around and he probably will be around until the end of the week. It has been quite windy here and I am that this is why we lost a window in the front door. This is what I said to the landlords:

"I'm just letting you know that the window of the porch has shattered and there is glass all over the porch. The window looks very and I think that someone shut the door too loudly in the middle of the night or someone left it open in the middle of the night and it blew shut
.."

Anyway they will be gone but meanwhile I hope everyone was okay in the wind and rain and I'm pleased that Zola got to see the sea. Angie I would like to have roots in Devon.

Goodnight everyone

Well, of course your pupil passed,Natrah, with having you as a teacher ! ! !
It has been cold and wet today, but of course we took Zola out - this afternoon, his dad brought him to have his stroke by the fire, and Zola arranged himself on my front, then pressed his cold little head against my cheek as if to thank me for being there for him ! He gets more endearing all the time, which I wouldn't have believed possible when he was younger ! I hope your porch gets fixed quickly, as it is going to let the cold air in, I suppose.
Love to Sleeping Beauty, Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends - and to you, of course, Natrah, from Zola and Angie xxxxxxxxxx

Hello Natrah - I hope your porch window has been fixed.I sometimes worry about Zola's large windows -there are trees around, and we have had some very fierce winds. The windows are double-glazed, which I think makes them stronger, but still, it is glass, after all. We are planning his Christmas photo to print out and make into cards for his friends -they are much appreciated. Here is one from some years ago .....
the little doll, which he is carrying to the tree, obviously, is The Susan -a tiny doll I have had since I was a little girl, who has been with me through all my ups and downs -I remember choosing her in Woolworths in Northampton -I was with my lovely Nanma, who brought my mum up, and who was taking me shopping as a treat.
(I made the dress for this photo, of course )
Love to you,Sleeping Beauty, Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends from Zola xxxxxxand Angie xxxxxxxx

Angie these pictures are amazing! Just a bit of news about the porch and the neighbour. The neighbour is still around and I was told that the landlords were here on Monday and they took the key off him. Anyway he broke the window because he couldn't get in so it looks like this could go all the way to court. I can't believe how stupid he is.

He’s had enough warnings about the noise & was given plenty of notice to leave, now damage to property. I’m assuming he’s no longer in the flat? I hope he doesn’t continue to be a nuisance to you all.

I'm afraid he's still there but we've dealt with this so long that we've become used to it.

Dear Natrah - surely this saga must come to an end soon ! I am so sorry - I wish we lived near you - Richard would soon sort him out -(he can be very intimidating) - and Zola could terrify anyone, if he tried ! ! !
It has been really cold again here, though we didn't get the thunderstorms we were promised - but we did see two small pieces of rainbow amongst the clouds - that was lovely!

Good evening everyone!

Angie your message has made my day because I was hoping someone would see Daisy's rainbow 🙂. The previous day's forecast was that we would have rain in the morning and that it would clear in the afternoon so therefore I did the washing and put it out🤣! We did have a short sunny spell but at lunchtime it threw it down (I hope you two can understand this phrase @The_Four_Toed_Edward and @Chefdenoel10) and it all happened so quickly that I didn't bother getting the washing in! At least we don't same issues as my cousins in Malaysia.

I phoned the landlords and emailed them and they replied by saying that they are aware that the tenants are still there but that they are working with them to vacate the property. We ask that you be patient 🤣! All I can say is that we've this far so we might as well see it through to the end.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Sleeping Beauty and Angel Daisy

PS: Sue I hope it hasn't been too bad in Northampton. How are Dickie, George and Sherman?

Well I think all of you have been more than patient. It sounds like the tenants ( has the vacated one returned again?) are running rings round the landlord. I thought they’d taken the keys. They should have changed the lock on the flat. Having broken a window to get back in shows they have no intention of complying. They will have to go through the courts like you say.
We’ve had a lot of rain here, everywhere is soggy. Dickie is tucked up in her box so we don’t disturb her. George was not quite himself last week & off his food a bit but he’s had his arthritis jab & has perked up enormously! I wonder if we humans could benefit from it 😊
Pete hasn’t been to the sanctuary for a couple of weeks due to needing to finish his deliveries by the deadlines but he is going Saturday. He can find out how the two hedgehogs are doing that he took over to them recently from our garden. Both were in need of help being underweight, one still a youngster & neither would have survived hibernation. At least they have a fighting chance now. Sherman doesn’t come out very often in this weather. He does get shut in when it’s cold so he will be getting bored.

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm just letting you know that I may not be able to post much later because there was a leak in my bedroom at 3.30 am. The landlord has had a look and it may be coming from the bathroom of the flat above (noisy neighbour). The lights are also affected but I don't want the electric to be turned back on until I'm sure it's safe. I cancelled the pupils because there was quite a bit of clearing up to do

Could be that the leak is intentional, I have read about something like that in the news 🫤

Oh no, Natrah - not more problems - you are having a really bad time, aren't you - most unfair ! ! We have had a pretty poor day too - the weather has been awful - extremely heavy rain - I was sitting with Zola in his room, and I don't think I have ever heard it making such a loud noise on his roof - quite deafening ! I stayed with him because I thought it wouldn't bother him so much if I were there too - he seemed ok, but my head is very painful now ! I couldn't really take him into another room, as he isn't allowed to go on the floor freely anywhere else -in the end it was time for his fireside stroke, which did us both good ! We had Zola's conservatory built specially very soon after we got him -before that there was a patio with a bit of roof, but we wanted something that would give him as much space as possible, and would be fairly weather-proof. So we had a proper room, with a perspex roof, and the company who did it made a very good job of it, as it has stood up to the weather for all Zola's life, with practically no problems - thank goodness !
I do hope everything is ok for you now,and that you will be able to sleep tonight.
Love from Angie xxxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx
