Hello Dickie - my dad speaks French and German pretty well, and quite a bit of Swedish and Italian - he can swear in a lot of other languages too, when necessary - like your dad ! When we went to Stonehenge some years ago, we met a lot of foreign tourists, and my dad asked them all the word for "tortoise" in their own language - we got lots of words, and my dad has a good memory, so now whenever we meet someone from another country, he is able to say the word in their own language. This often makes them really delighted -especially people like Ukrainian refugees, for instance.
Kura-kura is Malay for tortoise!

Thanks, Natrah - I don't think my dad knows that one.
We are probably going to get some more radicchio tomorrow - there might be some rain, but not a lot. We have had quite a bit of rain recently, but at least it saves my dad from watering the flowers.
Lots of love to you and all our forum friends from Zola and Angie xxxxxxx
