Sweet dreams Dickie!

Goodnight everyone

Natrah
Hello Natrah - I do hope you are feeling better now. Zola was very impressed about your students passing their exams - he would quite like to take some exams himself (e.g-eating, sleeping,wee-ing ...) and is sure he would get good marks - and maybe a certificate that he could show to people! We were very busy yesterday, getting our bathroom cleared out, as a builder was coming to replace our leaking shower-I never realised what a lot of stuff we had accumulated over the nearly 30 years we have lived here. He is putting down some cement under a new tray, and new panels over the walls, instead of the tiles Richard put up when we came -and fixing everything properly so it will never leak again. He is really good, and just gets on with it - in fact, he has just gone out to collect the new shower tray, and will have everything done some time tomorrow. It will be lovely to be able to shower without worrying if I'm splashing about too much !
We went in the car with Zola this morning, to take the broken tiles and shower door to the tip -and we actually had a number of snowflakes landing on the windscreen. However, by the time we got home, the sun was out- too cold for Zola, though.
Lots of love to you, Natrah, and to Jacky, Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Good morning everyone!

I have more of a cold now and I am trying to look after but I have a very busy weekend because I am stewarding for the Southend Musical Festival so I may not be able to post very much. I'm sure Zola would do very well Angie but that's the sort of thing that Jacky would do as well. I keep cuddling the because I know Jacky is inside.

How's the bathroom coming on and Sue how is your heating? Angie and Zola is it snowing there at the moment as I've just seen the forecast?

Keep safe

Natrah

Hello Natrah - yes, it is indeed snowing, and has obviously been doing so most of the night. It is very unusual to get a really heavy layer of snow here, and I think, actually, it is already turning to sleet. When Richard opened the back door earlier, the robin was there making a really pathetic noise which he had never heard before. Obviously, Richard grabbed the mealworm box and rushed out, and the robin ate quite a lot of worms, thank goodness - of course, a lot of the younger birds here have never seen snow before, and are really confused.
We don't have to go out today, luckily - the shower man is, we hope, coming this afternoon with the shower door he has ordered, and will put it up, and do one or two finishing- off things - then that will be it !! We don't know how much it's all going to cost yet, but we know he won't overcharge us - and it had to be fixed.
I hope you will be feeling much better by the weekend.
Lots of love from Zola and Angie xxxxxxxxxxx

Also Sue.

Thankyou very much

Sorry about your cold Natrah. I think sometimes we feel worse prior to its appearance & once the cold comes out not so bad, but of course that’s when people notice & give you sympathy! So I hope you get plenty of that this weekend when you’d probably rather stay tucked up indoors 🤧
Don’t know if I’ve missed anything from @The_Four_Toed_Edward but I hope you are feeling better as well & @zolasmum too.
Sorry Natrah no pictures to show you as most of our snow was gone from the ground by the middle of the afternoon Tuesday. I’m sure the children were disappointed having gone to school whilst it was snowing then it’s all gone when they leave. We did have a heavy frost that night which turned what was left into ice. My car wipers were frozen solid to the windscreen when I needed to go to my job yesterday morning. De-icer didn’t free them up, I had to leave the cars heater on full blast for quite a while whilst chipping away with the ice scraper. Of course I was late then but my lovely couple I clean for gave me a nice hot coffee when I got there to thaw myself out! There is no way I could cope with the temperatures you get in Finland 😊

Dear Angie,

You might start to notice Fieldfares and Redwings in your garden.

I will let you know if I see any - we do see a wider variety of birds in the winter, and have an assortment of feeders and foods always. At the moment we have quite a lot of goldfinches - but suddenly they may vanish for months. When we lived in Nottingham, I had a close friendship with a female blackbird - she would boss me about, but I didn't mind at all ! I think it is so wonderful to feel one is communicating with another creature - it's the same in a way as with a tortoise.
I'm afraid the snow melted very quickly, and we have bright sunshine now - so didn't get a chance for photos - but I believe it's going to get very windy over the weekend. We are hoping the shower door will be fixed this afternoon, but it had to be delivered to our plumber first, and could have got delayed by the snow. Angie

Hello again Natrah - We have been totally preoccupied with getting our shower fixed for the past few days, but all is done, and Richard is going to have first go in it tonight - I am waiting until tomorrow, to make sure it is functioning properly before I try it ! The plumber was really efficient, and also very good about making sure everything was how it would be best for us - and it looks very smart ! We have a lot to put back in there, but I couldn't face it today, as my headache is really bad and I'm very shaky. We go to the hospital next week for my big neck injections, so maybe that will sort me out !
Love to you, Sleeping Beauty, Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxx and Zola (who is happy to be back in his proper routines after getting less attention while the plumber was here ! ) xxxxxxxxxxxx

Ha -the shower didn't work !!! Only odd bits of very hot water !!! We will have to try and contact the plumber tomorrow -it's probably some minor thing, but very frustating !!!
Angie xxxxxxxx
Good morning Angie!

I'm sorry to hear this but it probably is some minor thing. I'm also concerned about your headaches could it be that you're concerned about the bathroom. If it is don't worry you'll soon be back to normal with a nice new working shower. I hope the weather's okay where you are. My friend in Scotland is experiencing blizzards thanks to storm Bert

Beautiful what sort of wildlife would you expect to see.

Natrah
At this time of the year squirrels, blue **** (Cyanistes caeruleus), great **** (Parus major), bull finches (Pyrrhula pyrrhula), common black birds (Turdus merula), Eurasian jays (Garrulus glandarius) and common magpies (Pica pica).

Later in the winter there will be brown hares (Lepus europaeus) and maybe even snow hares (Lepus timidus).

Edwards servant ☺️ :<3: :tort:

Good evening everyone!

So that's similar to us Edward. It's been nice and sunny today but very blustery so blustery that I'm worried about Angie and her wobbliness. I hope okay Angie. Have you heard anything from the plumber?

I had a lovely day doing stewarding at the Southend Musical Festival followed by the Southend Chamber Music Club Concert in the evening. I got to listen to all this lovely music and do away with my cholesterol watching by eating mince pies and chocolate biscuits. I'm afraid the Chamber Music Club's winter concert is a festive affair!

Sue I'm just wondering how Sherman is getting on. Is he in his shed yet?

I still say goodnight to everyone from the three of us but I cuddle the fridge and rub Daisy's ornament.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Sleeping Beauty and Angel Daisy
