Good I’m glad. I haven’t finished my Xmas shopping yet but it’s just little finishing off presents still to get.
The ever so talented friend of mine who does art & crafts has drawn a wonderful picture of my sisters 3 cats. It’s done in pencil & is face only all together in one picture. It’s really good, expensive, but good!
It’s going to be their main Xmas present. I predict tears, good ones
No sanctuary visit today as Pete had a what they think is a basal cell growth removed from his back yesterday. He has a few stitches so was warned against stretching & bending so he’s given them a miss today. Instead he’s currently scoffing the Xmas nuts. Doubt there will be any left by Xmas

I have a cousin who is on instagram who draws animals in pencil and they are fantastic!
Shocking really. The life like is unbelievable!
I was wondering g if it’s the same person.
I’ll find out from my mom what my cousins name is…
I will also get a photo of what I am talking about.

I am about three pages behind and violently trying to catch up but my old body is crying for sleep.
I wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season!!!!!
I miss you all very much!!
So much craziness has been going on but a couple of big points to mention for now…

1)- my neighbor is not going anywhere soon.
Tomorrow (the day after Christmas we are expecting 8” of snow and she won’t come out to help shovel! Now her boyfriend has moved his way on too and leaves in his car as to not have to shovel either… when I am all done broken back included he will pull in driveway whilst I am showering in pain…
2)- my husband and I were at the super market right before Christmas Day and what should fly up to and LAND RIGHT INFEONT OF US walking in the parking lot but …
A FALCON!!!!!!
Pardon my French but I almost myself!!!
It was stunning!
We couldn’t believe how tame he was!
He just landed and stared at us.. I can only assume he wanted food???
And lastly but most importantly…

3)- on December 20th I had to go see my brother who came up to visit my mom for Christmas and demanded that we all get together for once…
The ride getting there was horrible !!
Rain wind clouds…..
But on the way back I took a big highway…
Here it is called Route 80…
As I got on, the cars came wizzing passed me and all I could do was look up to the heavens to ask for help…… WEEELLLLLL……
When I looked up a second time
THERE WAS A RAINBOW!!!!!!!
My immediate reaction was to yell out of the opened drivers window
“DDAAAAAIIISSSSSYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!”

So…. There ya go…
I have a BIIIG Mouth (as Ralph Kramden would say)….
So I KNOW she heard me!

We got that program over here on the television a long time ago ; along with some others like

Dear Natrah- we hope you are having a really nice time - you will certainly not be short of special things to eat! We had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for Christmas dinner - cooked by Richard-it was lovely - but saved our Christmas pudding until yesterday -it was from Waitrose, and was very nice. Now we have lots of mince pies to eat gradually - none home-made, though.
Richard's birthday is on Jan 27 th, and it is also Zola's half-birthday - it didn't seem fair to miss him out !Then, of course, Zola has his other birthday with me in July.

I am well. Our winter has been unusually warm and we have had very little snow. I am in my hometown, Edward has another enclosure at my dads. Right now we have about 5 cm of snow. Today we have a high of -3 C and a low of -6 C. It feels like -11 C because of the snow.

We have had a small winter storm, mostly last night. The gusts of wind caused minor damage, mainly power outages and fallen trees.

I am well. Our winter has been unusually warm and we have had very little snow. I am in my hometown, Edward has another enclosure at my dads. Right now we have about 5 cm of snow. Today we have a high of -3 C and a low of -6 C. It feels like -11 C because of the snow.

Yes quite balmy here in comparison to Finland! Not so cold today as it’s been the last couple of days.
I’m trying to shake off a throat/upper airway virus thats been with me for over a week. It’s the nights that are worse constant coughing.
Hoping to have my sister & hubbie here for dinner New Years Day so we can give them their surprise present

Unfortunately it was very misty so I couldn't take photos of the birds but I did see the usual species but I also saw a pheasant and I can't remember ever seeing one here before so this is a first! I'm just letting you know that I hope to go back to Two Tree Island because there was a duck there that I couldn't I identify. I thought it was a mallard there seemed to be white in it compared to the other mallards and I'm wondering if it's an Eider Duck. The other thing was the Avocet that I saw who appeared to be desperate to eat whatever he could find before anything else got to it a bit like Daisy stopping Jacky from eating any strawberries or dandelions!
