It is his birthday today. Thankyou 😃
Had our first snow of the winter during the night. Not much but frost & ice underneath making it very slippery.

Good evening everyone!

I hope Pete enjoyed his birthday today Sue. Did you say you were going out? I did my teaching today but otherwise I have been battling to keep the temperatures up at 21: degrees Celsius. @The_Four_Toed_Edward is happy -21 degrees Celsius in Finland. Please could we see pictures of the snow Edward's Servant. We haven't had any snow and it has been a sparkling winter's day.

Angie I hope you're feeling better.

Goodnight everyone

No we went out for lunch Sunday with my sister & her husband & Pete was working today & with it being so cold we decided to stay put. We will be going out tomorrow for a carvery anyway. I couldn’t cope with Finlands temperatures!

Dear All -we have had some fairly heavy snow here, and it has been very cold for the past three days.We have been taking Zola out for a quick look at the sea after Richard has done his shopping, but no walks.
I am getting a phone call on Thursday from the hospital to discuss what progress I have made with my headache treatment -I am not sure what to say-I know the pains are rather different, but I think you are taken off the treatment after 3 injections unless you have at least 30% improvement.I would like to continue it, as I'm not sure if we did the first injection properly, so I may not have got the full benefit from that one (I've had 2 more since. ) The stuff is expensive, though, so they won't want to waste it.
I hope all is well with everyone>
Love to all from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

We had a few snowflakes here whilst I was out shopping. Infact I had been to Sainsbury's where they are already selling Easter Eggs before walking home in the snow. I find it depressing to see Easter Eggs before Valentine's Day within a fortnight of Xmas!!!!! I'd like you to continue with those injections as Angie and I shall be thinking of you on Thursday when I return the blood pressure equipment together with a note saying that I wouldn't mind taking my blood pressure at home again because I didn't realise that I was supposed to have a five minute rest before each test. I have been taking my blood pressure twice daily for the last week as part of a review but I may not have done it properly!!

Goodnight everyone

Dear Angie and Sue,

I hope you're okay in Storm Goretti. It's raining here. Good luck with the appointment today Angie. I will be leaving for the surgery later.

Thanks Natrah it’s come over very foggy looking a sign of the cold air warmer air meeting in the skies above. We wait to see which one wins out!
Good luck yourself

Dear Natrah -I hardly slept at all last night because I was worrying about the phone call about my injections -however, it was fine ! I had been afraid that I hadn't made enough progress to be allowed to continue, but she said that it isn't unusual to take several months to really start getting the benefit, and she has arranged for me to get the next 3 month's doses- if it doesn't help by then, I may be able to try another similar medicine. So I feel a lot better for that.
It has been a cold wet day, but not really as dramatically stormy as we feared, and I think the worst is over now for us. Zola and I had a lovely sit by the fire this afternoon -he was rather cold still after going out to the sea in the morning, but I put him close to my face so I could breathe on him and warm him up more, and he pressed his cold little head against my cheek and kept it there for a while - it is so lovely when he chooses to do things like that -I have to try not to cry !
I hope your visit to the doctor went ok, Natrah -we both have to go for check-ups occasionally too -we bought a blood pressure machine so we can check it at home too - they are not expensive, and I think if I felt a bit peculiar any time, it would be reassuring to be able to check that my blood pressure was ok.
Lots of love from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

It's been a cold, wet and miserable day here with the bright spot being me finally submitting my tax return for the year. I'm glad you can continue with Richard giving you injections Angie and I'm sorry that you had a bad night. Mine wasn't that much better with being stuffed up because of the weather and central heating both of which are affecting my eczema as well as my sinuses. I took the blood pressure equipment and forms to the surgery and said that I am willing to do another week of readings because of my errors. Anyway they've gone now so I shall see what the surgery says.

Goodnight everyone

Good afternoon everyone!

I am currently on my way to Rayleigh and it is a cold miserable day still I mustn't complain as some people don't have power and Edward's Servant appears to be happy with -24. She said that some parts of Finland were -42! I phoned the doctors and the receptionist said that the doctor hasn't looked at the chart yet but she thought that my BP looked low. Either at least I'll know what to do next time!

I would be hibernating if I was in Finland!
We had snow yesterday evening, it was coming down in big flakes & soon covered the ground. Pete set off to pick up the others for the pub quizz night but didn’t get too far before he turned back as visibility was poor. The pub is in a village called Maidwell (Angie may have heard of it) which is a bit out in the sticks & the roads were likely to be worse there so they wisely decided to abandon the quizz night. Later the snow became sleet then rain & by this morning most of it had gone!
Think we got off pretty lightly.

Yes, I knew Maidwell pretty well - a school friend 's father was a gardener at the big house, and I remember the wonderful daffodils in the garden there.

Dear Natrah - the weather here was pretty bad, but we missed out on the worst winds - loud and scary, but no major damage round here. When we went out today, there was some rain occasionally, but a lot of perfect blue sky and fluffy white clouds most of the time - then, when we were headed back it began to hail !
However, there were no obvious signs of damage at all - no trees down or stuff on the road. I think some places quite near us such as Boscastle had 100mph winds, though ! So we were very lucky !
Love to all from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

It's been a calmer day today but the weather has been weird. Yesterday it was rain, rain and more rain but Richard will be pleased to know that there was a robin at the top of the tree opposite! Today was calmer but five minutes after I arrived at the shop it was snowing towards the west and sunny in the east! It is still very cold so I imagine Zola is warming up by the fire with Angie. I went into town after teaching to spend a couple of gift vouchers at M & S and on the way back I took the picture below.

Goodnight everyone

another friend received a colour one as a Xmas present done by someone her best friend knows. It is brilliant, hate to say it but I think better than the ones my friend has done. They are expensive so not your everyday gift! I’m not a user of instagram but I do so admire the talent that people have. It’s a true gift!
Hello MoggyMad,

It’s me … chef 👩‍🍳.
Not only do I want to wish you a very happy holiday season but I wish it for everyone on here. I hope you all had a fantastic time.
I found the pictures I was telling you about drawn by my cousin so I am posting some.
To see them is mind boggling. I don’t even understand how people can draw like that?
I am not one of them…🤣
God bless.

We are traveling back to my uni today. School started on the right, but my first lectures are tomorrow. It is always weird to travel with Edward in the pet carriage of the train amongst all the dogs, cats and the occasional bunnies. Most people probably think I don't have a pet with me.

It has gotten warmer again, around -10 c. I like it, as my cheeks don't freeze as easily, but it isn't too warm and we still have some good snow. I hope it won't get too close to zero, or else it will be wet, slippery and miserable.

Edwards servant 😊❤️🐢

Hello Natrah and everyone - we are still having fairly unpleasant weather -it was very windy last night, and kept me awake worrying - not that we could do anything in the dark, of course, anyway ! What I worry about most is a possible long power cut. We do get minor ones sometimes, which are a nuisance, but we would have problems with a long one - fortunately, we have a gas hob,so could boil water for endless cups of tea, and we could huddle round the fire in the dark, but I would worry about Zola. I would have to carry him around under my fleece all the time, and he might strongly object to that after a while! We had our slate roof replaced when we first came here, and windows double glazed, as they hadn't been previously, so structurally we should be fairly ok. I hope so, anyway. We have a large eucalyptus tree on the front lawn, which we have had cut back a bit over the years, but there are probably roots under our house which could cause the whole front wall to collapse if the tree blew down !
I hope all is ok and safe for you, Natrah and Sue.
Love to everyone from Zola and Angie xxxxxxxxxx
