I'm glad I'm not

Hello Natrah and everyone - we are still having fairly unpleasant weather -it was very windy last night, and kept me awake worrying - not that we could do anything in the dark, of course, anyway ! What I worry about most is a possible long power cut. We do get minor ones sometimes, which are a nuisance,but we would have problems with a long one - fortunately, we have a gas hob,so could boil water for endless cups of tea, and we could huddle round the fire in the dark, but I would worry about Zola. I would have to carry him around under my fleece all the time, and he might strongly object to that after a while! We had our slate roof replaced when we first came here, and windows double glazed, as they hadn't been previously, so structurally we should be fairly ok. I hope so, anyway. We have a large eucalyptus tree on the front lawn, which we have had cut back a bit over the years, but there are probably roots under our house which could cause the whole front wall to collapse if the tree blew down !

the only one wondering where this milder weather is. I stayed in today because I still have Xmas food to eat and I only went out to get the paper. It has been grey and damp and I've been feeling cold most of the day. I have tried to get on with some jobs and I was hoping to connect the printer with the computer and this phone but I shall to ask my friend for advice. I also need to get back to dealing with dad's land in Malaysia and try to get the elder of my two brother's opinion. He hasn't answered my last email and we can't move forward until he does. Anyway below is a photo of Nana's Xmas daffodils on one of her crocheted mats. She is in her garden holding Rosie the rabbit in front of Jacky and Daisy's favourite Pampas.

As you know I’m not technical but before Xmas I managed to set up WhatsApp on my iPad so now I can get texts & send photos more easily than on my phone. I didn’t actually set out to do that but whilst faffing around trying to do something else I saw the app & pressed it!
I haven’t worked out how to link my iPad with the printer yet but I’m sure it can be done. Anything I want to print I send to Pete to do!

Below is another photo showing the daffodils in full bloom. Well done Sue! You are technically minded after all! My poor old printer has got problems in that my new computer and this phone don't want anything to do with it!

Today started off brighter than yesterday before descending into on/off rain all day. Still at least it's been warmer and I hope it's been calmer where you two are Angie and Sue. How is it where you two are Chef and Edward? Also I wonder if Zola saw the sea today?

Hello Natra and everyone -the weather has been warmer here, with no traces of snow left, but wet and very unpleasant.At least Zola got a very brief look at the sea - no sign of Lundy Island, which is how I judge what the weather is like ! The next couple of weeks are full of important anniversaries - our wedding anniversary on 24thJan (20 years !) then Richard's birthday on 27th - and on 1st Feb, the date Richard was attacked 43 years ago and -nearly died ! I can't remember how much I have told before, but anyway, he was attacked in London in the evening by several young thugs who bashed his head in with wooden table legs - for no reason, and ran off leaving him to die. However, some friends of his came by, got the police, and got him to hospital. I didn't know him all that well then, but he got the hospital to phone me at work, as next of kin ( his family were all in Canada, and I think the hospital wanted someone who they could consider as next of kin.)
I rushed over there - he had a huge dressing on his head, and had been having epileptic fits -one of which had dislocated his shoulder. He told me weeks later that when the nurse told him I was coming, he insisted his pillow was turned over, so I shouldn't see all the blood ! I spoke to the doctor and the nurses, and said that I had a flat with heating, television, and telephone, and that I had a certain amount of medical experience from teaching in a special school - they were reassured by this, as he had been staying in a rough squat type flat - however it was a couple of weeks before he was allowed out to stay with me. And we hve been together ever since !

Thank you Sue - we have had our problems along the way, but things have worked out for us both -and little Zola has given us so much in so many ways.

What blows my mind is that all these pictures are done in pencil!
I’m not sure if I showed her name or not but I know she is on Instagram and has either red hair or red lips??
She told my mother that yes; they are kinda expensive but it is what it costs for their time?

I am so sorry this happened to Richard.
What a terrible experience for the both of you!
This story should make your anniversaries all the more happy that you have each other now.
I am a VERY BIG believer in karma..
and if those little punks have not met her yet.. believe me… boooyyy….

Angie I'm a big believer in Karma as well and I hope those things get what's coming to them. I think you were Richard's angel in disguise and I hope you have a little toast on your anniversary. It's been awful weather here today but I met the new neighbours who were just dropping a few things in the flat. They seemed like a nice couple in their mid to late forties so hopefully they'll be okay. I've kept a lookout for Fieldfares and Redwings but now I think it's too warm for them

Today was the day I had to let the lawyer in to post the letter on her door. We have a single door outside that opens up to two different doors, mine and hers. She almost herself when she heard us coming in.
Now at 12:30AM she is sitting in the boyfriend’s car with him arguing in the driveway keeping up the other neighbors.
They have been in their car since 7:00!?
It is 23 degrees outside and I don’t know how they are not freezing by now?….
Wait….?
I DONT CARE!!!
