I read this whole paper thank you very much! Interesting to read.It is more of a symptom than a diagnosis. I haven't read into it much, but it is easy to spot. It can be caused by a number of things and overall very little is known about it even though it is fairly common in captive management:
Deeply Retracted / Snail Problems
Information about the prevention and treatment of snail-keeping and snail-health problems: Deeply Retractedwww.petsnails.co.uk
It gives me things to check off of my list of what is happening…
I just don’t know what is going wrong.
How is Edward and his “four toes”?
I am so very upset I just keep telling myself he is hibernating..
He is still wet when you look at him.
I bathed him in some kind of tea leaves
Sat him next to charcoal (detoxing)
And sat him next to some green powder stuff. All I received in that snail first aid kit.
Nothing is bringing him out !!!!
Now at 11pm I have sprayed him and the soil with water and put him under the soil so he can hibernate if that’s what he wants.
I just can’t let him go….
He is my best wee friend and my favorite of my three.. it was our little joke to the others..
6years!!
No!
He is hibernating.
Thank you for giving me the info!
Keep giving me advice!
