Good afternoon everyone!

Goodbye my dearest! I've been told I have to go out now!

Good evening everyone!

I need to explain the picture above. When Natrah put me in the water tray I came straight out and kicked the bucket before going to clean behind the toilet. I crashed into everything in sight as I walked over the mop and headed back to the water and to my dear friend the bathroom scales. Unfortunately I was put outside and then later I got the chance to see my friend again.

Goodnight everyone

Jacky, Angel Daisy and Natrah

Sorry I haven't been writing. I haven't been able to get on TFO much. Between my sacarilliac problem and a puppy and all my other chores it takes me longer than usual. Then I don't have enough time to get on here like I want to.😘

Hope everyone's okay. I still think of Zola's outings and the swallows. We've got noisy house martins, squirrels and brazen foxes

Goodnight

Natrah
Hello Natrah - we think the swallows are starting a new brood in the same nest - we shall soon know for sure once they hatch.
Here is a photo of the path to our front door - the window frame on the right side of the photo (my bedroom) is where I saw that very large and beautiful dark brown snail recently- looking like a fashion model ! As you can see, we like lots of bright random flowers - quite a lot were grown from seed by Richard. He does most of the garden stuff now - and also all the bird-feeding.
Love to you all from Zola and Angie xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Angie that is beautiful I bet Zola loves that garden. Of course I've got friends who have their own vegetable patch and they allowed Jacky and Daisy to come stay 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Of course Daisy led Jacky straight to the vegetable patch 🤣🤣🤣....

I've just come in from collecting the washing and sadly I didn't see any bats but I heard the house martins. I can remember when we went on holiday to Glenshee in Scotland and there was House Martins nest in the doorway of our chalet. They left the same time as us but Angie I wonder if your swallows will be in the same place.

I replied to a thread earlier about a newcomer called Roy where some of our members suggested that he could go into an indoor enclosure on colder days. Sue (@MoggyMad) have you done this with Dickie. I thought about this with Jacky but she has started eating again and they say it will get warmer. I decided to try not to do this with Jacky because it means getting to adjust to being outside again. Also as an older tortoise I just let her do what she used to do with Daisy which is to spend more time sleeping and even when it was slightly colder the two of them would come out for a little while and then go back into the tortoise house. Also had more room in the bathroom and finds plenty to do and she can also have a lie in in the pet carrier. I hope Edward and our other friends are okay.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: I do still worry about Jacky because of Daisy and my having to rush Jacky to the vets six months after losing Daisy.

No she decides like you said when she wants to come out & for how long. She is eating in fact it’s been quite nice this afternoon. Even this morning it was cloudy but the air was warm so she was out from mid morning. She goes back to her box early sometimes though.
Dickie is not happy indoors & never eats if kept inside. That’s why she goes out as soon as possible after waking.
Did Jacky disappear for a while recently? Only I reckon she went to visit Zola….see above photo from Angie 😆

Hello everyone,

My servant has been taking care of me. I like when she feeds me mineral oil rolled up in lettuce with my pellets.

But I don't like the extra drowning sessions. Worse yet, I hate when she wipes my butt hole with mineral oil! I sure hope Jacky will be okay. Being sick isn't fun.

Good evening everyone!

Edward I was wondering how you've been because I'm going to start reading your thread about your bladder stones in more detail because I was a bit concerned about Jacky. She hasn't really been going to the toilet and she hasn't eaten that much. Yesterday she ate a bit of dandelion but today she didn't eat the strawberries although when I went to clear her bowls I found that she had a section of the spring greens. The weather has been pretty awful some days so I suppose that is a factor but I just love her. Other than that she's been quite active and she has been struggling to get out of bath tub!

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: Sue (@MoggyMad) has Dickie been eating and pooping okay?

Dear Natrah - the weather has been pretty bad and quite cold here a lot of the time, and Zola hasn't been eating all that much,l though he never refuses a few slices of hand fed cucumber ! I do hope Jacky gets a bit more appetite soon, though, for you. I think it is supposed to be getting warmer in the next few days.
Goodnight and love to you and Jacky and Angel Daisy and all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxx

Thankyou Angie.

I feel that although I've had tortoises all my life I seem to have learnt even more over the last couple of years since Daisy's illness. Also this forum is amazing and full of brilliant advice. She could have been tucking into the spring greens when I wasn't looking because I have noticed her being very sneaky. Other than this she seems to be quite active and I have been shoved a few times. I just feel that like Daisy she's been there when family haven't.

Just going to see the bats. Jacky didn't like being soaked twice.

Today Dickie has eaten a good amount. It has been warm & sunny on & off. We haven’t seen any poops but she spends a lot of time in the border so we wouldn’t see if she pooped there. It’s only when it’s right where we walk that we see it! Same with wee’s.
My guess with Jacky is that it’s down to the weather so as it’s going to be pretty warm for the next couple of days, you’ll likely see an improvement. 🤞
If not then I’m sure you’ll get good advice here or arrange a vet checkup. 🙏 Try not to worry x
