Good evening everyone!

Just a short note to say that Jacky has her appointment tomorrow. She had some breakfast and then I didn't think she ate any lunch until I found some grass in her mouth. This morning I cradled her on my lap like Zola and Angie and she seemed to enjoy it. I expect this swallows have left for Africa now Zola.

Goodnight everyone

Hope it’s a smooth journey
Dear Sue,

I'm afraid we didn't get anywhere because the vet practice rang to reschedule the appointment because the vet wasn't well. The appointment has been rescheduled for Monday at 5.30 pm and so I have had to cancel more pupils anyway it can't be helped and these things happen. Jacky even left a present 😂 with her soak this morning!

Oh Natrah - what a shame - that's really unfair, after all your anxiety and inconvenience - though I'm sure Jacky's present cheered you up !
Zola has had a quiet day, as it has been cold and windy, but we did go to look at the sea, of course, and Richard lit the fire for Zola's stroking session. Here is a photo from some time ago - you can see Zola's breakwater
rising up on the left. Also you can see Bude Sea Pool - the small blue area on the right, separated by a wall from the sea - it was in the news yesterday, as we (Friends of Bude Sea Pool)- which includes me- are applying for permission to celebrate weddings there ! It would be the first place of its kind.
Love to you,Jacky and Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxx

Good evening everyone,

Just got back from the rehearsal that I didn't think I would get to! That's a beautiful photo Angie you are so lucky to be living there and Zola is a lucky tortoise. The appointment is now on Monday at 5.30 pm and I've had to cancel more pupils. Anyway when I left for orchestra I noticed the beautiful sunset there was a half moon and the sky was pink and to think Jacky and I would have had a lovely view on the way back from the vets. However the forecast for next week is for warm weather returning which is good for Jacky. Has anyone had the heating because I have?

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: My friend is flying back to Malaysia having left Heathrow at 11.00 am and possibly arriving at 1.00 am!

Yes I’ve had the heating on for a bit.
Did you get to see your friend whilst she was here?
The photo is beautiful & peaceful. Zola you are a very lucky tortoise 😊
Dickie hasn’t been out for 3 days now. She is awake but is staying at the back of her box. She has plenty of straw. She will have another soak tomorrow to keep her hydrated.
It’s a shame you had to cancel some pupils unnecessarily as it turned out. Hope the appointment goes ahead Monday now as arranged.

Zola loves his rubs ❤️.

Natrah
Zola doesn't particularly like being touched under his chin, but he is happy to be stroked on the top of his head, and he also loves the two-handed strokes I give him all over his shell - both light and firm. That's why his shell is shiny and smooth - lots of stroking for 20 years or so !

Dear Natrah - the weather was better today, so Zola went to the breakwater - he had a long walk, and got really tired out, so was happy to have a long stroke with me again. Yesterday, he didn't want a stroke, as his timetable had got disrupted, and he hadn't had much to eat - so he bit my chin a couple of times (quite gently) to indicate he was hungry, and I put him back with his food. That's actually the first time he has ever refused a stroke ! I havent been doing too well for the past few days - very wobbly and dizzy - but I will contact the headache clinic to find out when I can have more of the head injections - or, of course, if they have other ideas. Richard's hamstring has improved quite a bit, and he was able to take Zola for his walk as he used to do.I just hope he hasn't overdone things.
I hope all is well with you and Jacky- love to you both, and to Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Well Jacky is supposed to have her checkup tomorrow so let's see if it goes ahead and I am supposed to have my health check blood test on Friday. Sue and Angie have you seen the Northern Lights where you are? Edward I bet these are beautiful in Finland. What's the weather like there at the moment? It's been a beautiful autumn day here and it's set to get warmer which will be good for Zola on the breakwater and for me to get Jacky out. Angie I hope you and Richard are okay

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: Daisy would have been 82 next Sunday.

Hello Natrah - We shall be thinking of you and Jacky tomorrowThe weather hasn't been all that good recently, and Zola hasn't been out with his dad, who anyway had a lot to do. I had to keep him company instead, and I think he was rather disappointed. I am due for a medical checkup and blood test too, but have put off arranging it as we are having workmen here a couple of days soon, and am not sure when yet. We haven't seen the Northern lights here - possibly we might be able to go to the sea one evening soon, just to look.
The blue hydrangea in our front garden has mostly faded now - to a rather pretty light violet shade - as opposed to all the local red and pink ones, which are going brown when they fade - I hope it will flower bright blue again next year - so lovely !
Good luck tomorrow, and love to you and Jacky and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxx
and Zola, who is actually asleep now! xxxxxxx

No northern lights here, it’s been raining again tonight.
Also been quite chilly so the heating has been on am & pm.
Been to a family party today so not been here to tempt Dickie with her food which was left for her.
She was still out in the border when we got back & it was raining so Pete put her in her box. She hadn’t eaten anything. She did eat a bit yesterday whilst I held it for her. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit better.
Good luck with Jacky at the vets tomorrow. George is going too, he doesn’t know it yet! He’s licking between his toes again making it sore so may need a steroid injection. It’s happened before in the autumn & took ages to sort out. Might have to wear the big cone collar again.

Goodnight all
